In Holland, and in a lot of other European countries as well, children of past generations have been learning in school with the simple but effective method of Mini Loco. This year Wolters Noordhoff, the leading educative publisher in the world, decided to celebrate its 35 years of success. Young children and their parents, who were among the first Mini Loco users, got to celebrate the newest version of the game.

The anniversary was held at the Young Family Fair in Utrecht this year where Holland’s most famous mom end education authority Daphne Deckers released the newest version of mini Loco supported by the popular character ‘Kikker’ (frog). A super sized version of the Mini Loco game supplied a great photo moment for press and off course the Fair visitors. To get the press there, a teaser mailing was sent out: it contained little pieces of the puzzle to make journalists reminisce of old times and get them to guess what it was all about. The four pieces of puzzle were sent out separately. Together, they formed the promotion logo of’ 35 years of Mini Loco’. A perfect way to keep journalists busy with the product for a length of time!
